At The Micropigmentation Institute, we are committed to providing science-based, tailor-fitted permanent makeup solutions. To uphold our professional standards and protect both our clients and our team, we enforce strict terms and conditions.

Please review the following policies carefully before booking. By booking an appointment, you agree to our strict policies, terms, and conditions outlined below.

Clients with Existing Permanent Makeup

If you have an existing brow tattoo or permanent makeup from another studio, an artist must assess your current work before proceeding. Please submit a clear, unfiltered photo (with no makeup) to themicropigmentationinstitute@gmail.com.

We will review and advise you on the next steps. Without prior approval, we will not accommodate cover-up or correction procedures.

Booking an Appointment

All appointments must be booked online through our official website and booking platform. We do not accept manual bookings, third-party app requests, or social media messages to prevent fraudulent appointments.

Reservation fee Policy

All reservation fees are non-refundable — no exceptions.

It is the client’s responsibility to confirm if they are a suitable candidate for cosmetic micropigmentation procedures. If uncertain, please refer to our Info page.

our Deposit and Payment Policy

For brow and lip procedures:  A 1,000 PHP non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is required
For scalp procedures: 10% of the total quoted amount is required

This ensures both your commitment and our time. The deposit will be credited to your final bill on the day of your procedure.

Accepted payment methods for deposits:
  • Online Bank Transfer (BPI)
  • GCash

We do not accept checks or installment payments.

Deposits will be validated within 24 hours.

Once you have paid the deposit, you will receive an email confirmation. Please double-check your email for accuracy.

settling Payment balance

During the day of your appointment, the down payment will be credited and deducted from the final bill. The remaining balance payment should be settled on the same day of the procedure. We strongly encourage electronic payments to minimize cash transactions.

Guest Policy

For the safety and focus of our artists:

  • Only the client, artist, and essential staff are allowed in the procedure area.
  • Clients may bring ONE companion who is not scheduled for a procedure.
  • Children (under 18), pets, food, and drinks are strictly prohibited within the studio to avoid cross contamination.

Late Arrival Policy

Time is valuable — for both our clients and staff.

  • A 30-minute grace period is allowed for late arrivals.
  • Beyond 30 minutes, your appointment will be cancelled and your deposit forfeited. A new appointment will need to be booked based on availability.

No-Show Policy

Clients who fail to show up for their appointment without prior notice will be banned from future bookings and their deposit will be forfeited.

Rescheduling Policy

  • To reschedule, notify us at least 72 hours (3 days) prior to your appointment.
  • Your new appointment must be within 14 days of the original schedule.
  • Rescheduling less than 72 hours before your appointment will incur a Php 1,000 rebooking fee.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your appointment, your deposit is non-refundable and will be retained by TMI as compensation for the lost appointment slot.

Some clients may not be suitable for micropigmentation. You may NOT be a candidate if you:

Suitability for Cosmetic Tattoo Procedures



Brows



  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Have uncontrolled diabetes
  • Are currently on blood thinners or Accutane
  • Have autoimmune diseases
  • Have allergies to tattoo pigments or inks
  • Have active skin conditions (eczema, psoriasis) near the procedure area

LIPS



  • Have cold sores or Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV)
  • Have allergies to tattoo pigments or inks
  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Have uncontrolled diabetes
  • Are taking blood thinners or Accutane
  • Have autoimmune diseases

Scalp (SMP)



  • Are allergic to tattoo pigments or inks
  • Are unwilling to maintain a buzz cut (for certain procedures)
  • Have active scalp infections or skin conditions
  • Have uncontrolled diabetes, blood disorders, or autoimmune diseases
  • Have keloid or hypertrophic scarring tendencies
  • Have unrealistic expectations — SMP creates the look of hair stubble, not real hair regrowth
  • Are taking blood thinners or Accutane

BOOKING PROCESS

To ensure your experience is smooth and tailored to your needs, please follow these steps diligently:

1. Select your desired procedure and preferred time slot on our booking site.

2. If you have previous work or are interested in SMP, repair, or restoration procedures, a consultation with our experts is necessary before booking. You may send us a message here.

3. After booking, expect an email with instructions to submit your non-refundable booking fee.

4. Reply to the same email thread with your proof of payment attached.

5. We'll confirm your payment within 24 hours via email. Remember to add your appointment to Google Calendar or iCal for reminders.

6. You will receive an automated text from our system 2 days in advance to remind you of your session.

Please note that the following instructions prepare you for your comfort during the treatment and optimal results of your procedure. Not following these precare may lead to poor retention and premature fading.

- Refrain from plucking, tweezing or waxing your eyebrow before your appointment.
- Products with Retin-A/Retinols, anti-aging cream, brow and lash serum, should be avoided in the brow area at least for 2 weeks time frame
- Avoid alcohol, coffee, ibuprofen, aspirin and fish oil supplements at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.
- Sleep well. Wear comfortable clothing to help you keep relaxed. You may bring jackets and socks as we do not provide blankets as part of our sanitary measures.
- Please come on time to minimize overlapping with another client's schedule.
- Be prepared to lay down very still for a long period of time (at least 3-3.5 hours). We also request to keep texting and phone calls to a minimum during treatment.

BROWS AFTERcare

Within 24 hours post brow procedure
- Wash your brows with mild soap. Rinse and tap dry.
- Apply a pump-size amount of ointment in to both brows.
- Do this step every 4 hours.

Days 2 to 7
- Wash your hands with mild soap. Rinse and tap dry.
- Apply a pump-size of ointment in to both brows.
- Repeat the step every morning and night time

First 7 days
- Avoid too much sun exposure
- No swimming
- Avoid exercise
- No makeup on the brow area

8th day
- Use of moisturizers and sunscreen in your brows is recommended

30 days
- No botox
- No lasers and chemical peels

Touch Up Session
Healed results may vary per individual, therefore, a perfection session may be necessary depending on the healed results. Retouches are up to 6 months only.

Recommended Touch Up Period
your touch up session is not automatically booked. It is the client's responsibility to inform us of your schedule availability. The recommended touch up date is post 3 months after the initial session up to 6 months.



lips AFTERcare

Day 1 to 7
- Apply aftercare emollient to nourish the lips.
- Repeat every 4 hours.
- Drink plenty of water
- Place an ice pack in the lip area if it feels swollen or painful.

First 7 days
- No seafoods
- No alcohol
- No lipsticks

Touch Up Session
Every lip treatment is a per session treatment. Number of session depends on the state of your lips. The recommended interval of treatments is after 3 months.

Recommended Touch Up Period
We encourage you to send your healed results at 2 month from your last session for assessments.

- Use vaseline/petroleum jelly on your lips as frequently as possible as soon as you made your lip appointment.
- Scrub your lips prior with lip scrub prior to your appointment.
- Avoid alcohol, coffee, ibuprofen, aspirin and fish oil supplements at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.
- Sleep well. Wear comfortable clothing to help you keep relaxed. You may bring jackets and socks as we do not provide blankets as part of our sanitary measures.
- Please come on time to minimize overlapping with another client's schedule.
- Be prepared to lay down very still for a long period of time (at least 3-3.5 hours). We also request to keep texting and phone calls to a minimum during treatment.

SCALP PREcare

- Consult Your Technician about any medications or medical conditions.
- Stay Out of the Sun for 3-5 days prior to your session.
- Avoid Tanning (sun or tanning beds) for 5-7 days before.
- Stay Hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
- No Alcohol or Caffeine 24 hours before your session.
- Avoid Blood Thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen) for 72 hours.
- Skip Harsh Skin Treatments (e.g., chemical peels, laser) for 2 weeks before.
- Clean Your Scalp on the day of the procedure (no oils or products)
- No Hair Dye for at least 1-2 weeks before.
- Wear Comfortable Clothing for your appointment.
- Arrange Transportation to and from your appointment.
- Have your hair buzz by a barber to zero prior to the procedure.

SCALP post care

- Avoid Touching or Scratching the treated area for at least 7 days to prevent infection and irritation.
- Keep the Scalp Clean: Gently wash your scalp with lukewarm water and a mild, non-alcoholic shampoo for the first 7 days.
- Avoid Sweating: Refrain from intense physical activity and sweating (e.g., gym, saunas) for 7-10 days.
- No Sun Exposure: Avoid direct sun for at least 2 weeks. Wear a hat or use SPF 30+ sunscreen when outside.
- Do Not Shave the treated area for at least 5 days to allow healing.
- Avoid Swimming in pools, hot tubs, or the ocean for at least 2 weeks.
- No Hair Products: Avoid using hair gels, sprays, or other products for the first 7 days.
- Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to keep your scalp healthy.
- Follow Up: Attend any scheduled touch-up appointments or follow-up sessions as recommended

Absolutely. We are applying US-standards of technique in every procedure. Our artists are trained in the US, therefore you are assured of the quality of the technique and supplies to be used in your treatment. Our studio is disinfected after each client. Our supplies are sanitized and disinfected as well. Sharps used are disposed off also. To give added peace of mind, the artist is also a Medical Technologist by degree, to give you the assurance that we apply hospital-grade safe practices, to avoid cross-contamination.

We understand that pain tolerance varies among individuals. To ensure your comfort, we employ topical anesthetics before and during the treatment, prioritizing a pain-free experience tailored to your needs.

The procedure takes roughly about 2-2.5 hours, sometimes more, sometimes less depending on each case. We likely won’t need that much time, but this isn’t something we want to rush to make sure you get the best outcome possible.

You are advised to keep the skin clean and dry — that means no swimming, sweating or otherwise getting the area wet; no tanning or prolonged sun exposure; no picking, peeling, scratching or rubbing the tattoo, this may result in a loss of color and scarring. Aftercare instructions will be given to you and you are strictly advised to follow them.
